The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has announced the successful launch of 32 new mobile applications through its Create Apps Accelerator Programme. Of these 32 apps, 60% use artificial intelligence.

The Create Apps Accelerator Programme is a 45-day intensive tech sprint. It helps founders transform early-stage app ideas into market-ready products. This year, the programme brought together participants from 22 countries across 13 different sectors. Teams developed functional prototypes for both iOS and Android. They also prepared for successful launches on the App Store and Google Play.

What makes this announcement stand out is the heavy emphasis on AI. Applications that utilise artificial intelligence account for 60% of those launched through the programme. This reflects ongoing efforts to support the adoption of advanced technologies among Dubai’s private sector.

The Programme Behind the Launch

The Create Apps Accelerator Programme is part of the wider Create Apps Championship ecosystem. It is designed for participants who did not qualify for the final stages of the championship. This gives entrepreneurs a second chance to benefit from training and guidance to launch their projects.

This year’s programme delivered more than 170 hours of one-on-one mentoring and guidance. It also included six specialised workshops led by experts. These workshops covered user interface design, user experience design, product positioning, compliance, and app scaling. This represents a significant expansion compared to the previous edition. The previous programme delivered 140 hours of mentoring to 24 teams.

Saeed AlGergawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, highlighted the programme’s impact. He said the programme reflects Dubai’s strong commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship within the digital startup ecosystem. By providing a clear pathway for promising entrepreneurs, the programme ensures that all high-potential ideas get the opportunity to develop.

Why Founders Are Choosing AI

Founders are building AI into their apps because it delivers real business value. AI helps apps become more efficient and smarter. It allows startups to meet the evolving needs of businesses and users more effectively.

From Q1 to Q3 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy supported the establishment and growth of 582 digital startups. Artificial intelligence accounted for 21% of this activity. The UAE raised $678 million in startup investment in Q1 2025. This marks a 57% increase year-on-year. AI and fintech accounted for nearly half of that total.

These statistics show that investors are putting their money behind AI-driven ventures. Founders recognise this trend. They are building AI into their products to attract funding and scale faster.

The programme gives founders a clear advantage. They receive over 170 hours of one-on-one mentoring. They learn from experts in UI/UX design, product positioning, compliance, and scaling. They also get hands-on support to develop functional prototypes.

This support system is crucial for early-stage startups. Many founders have great ideas but lack the technical skills or business knowledge to bring them to market. The programme bridges that gap. It provides the structure, mentorship, and resources needed to succeed.

The programme also offers a second chance for founders who did not qualify for the final stages of the Create Apps Championship. This ensures that promising ideas do not go to waste. It allows entrepreneurs to learn, grow, and launch their projects.

What Sectors Are Benefiting

The 32 launched applications showcase a diverse range of innovative solutions. The education sector is highly represented. Healthcare and longevity follow closely. This reflects a strong focus on solutions that enhance wellbeing and knowledge. Other notable sectors include fintech, AI, social media, and real estate.

The programme attracted innovative founders from 22 countries. These include the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, India, Yemen, and Jordan. This diversity reflects Dubai’s strong appeal among ambitious entrepreneurs from around the world.

The Business Impact

This programme delivers tangible business results. Startups go from idea to launch in just 45 days. They receive expert mentorship and hands-on support. They learn how to position their products in the market and scale effectively.

The programme also contributes to Dubai’s wider digital innovation agenda. It strengthens Dubai’s position as a global capital of the digital economy. It empowers talented entrepreneurs from around the world.

For businesses, this means access to a growing pool of AI-powered solutions. These apps address real needs in education, healthcare, finance, and other critical sectors. Companies can leverage these innovations to improve their operations and serve their customers better.

What This Means for the Tech Industry

The tech industry is watching Dubai closely. The city has positioned itself as a global hub for digital innovation. The Create Apps Accelerator Programme reinforces this reputation.

For startups, Dubai offers a supportive ecosystem. The government provides funding, mentorship, and infrastructure. The market is open to innovation. The talent pool is diverse and growing.

For investors, Dubai presents attractive opportunities. The UAE raised $678 million in startup investment in Q1 2025. AI and fintech accounted for nearly half of that total. The returns on AI-driven ventures are promising.

For the global tech industry, Dubai serves as a model. The city demonstrates how government support, private sector adoption, and international talent can come together to drive innovation. The Create Apps Accelerator Programme is a blueprint that other cities can follow.

The future of AI in Dubai’s startup ecosystem looks bright. With continued government support, private sector adoption, and international talent, Dubai is well-positioned to lead the next wave of digital innovation.
