UAE Debuts Zayed, an AI Spokesperson That Speaks for the Government

The UAE government now has a new way to talk to the world. It is not a person. It is an AI-powered spokesperson named Zayed.

The International Affairs Office at the UAE Presidential Court launched Zayed on June 18, 2026. This digital representative will communicate the office’s initiatives, strategic priorities, and global engagements through advanced digital platforms.

Zayed represents a new approach to government communication. The platform uses artificial intelligence to deliver content and strategic messaging in a dynamic, accessible format. Unlike a traditional spokesperson, Zayed is an AI-powered platform designed to engage with audiences through technology.

A Lifelike Digital Representative

Zayed appears as a remarkably lifelike government representative. The AI spokesperson will serve as the high-tech face of the International Affairs Office, helping to champion the body’s strategies and objectives around the world.

The platform provides real-time, interactive, and intelligent communication. It supports the delivery of strategic messaging through modern digital channels. This makes information more accessible across different segments of society.

Rooted in a Clear Vision

Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri heads the International Affairs Office at the UAE Presidential Court. She said the UAE’s journey in artificial intelligence is rooted in a clear vision set by the leadership. The vision sees innovation not simply as technological advancement, but as a force that empowers societies and strengthens human connection.

She added that launching Zayed reflects the office’s commitment to embracing transformative technologies. The goal is to enhance communication and create deeper, more meaningful engagement with audiences across generations.

Part of a Larger AI Strategy

The initiative aligns with the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031. This strategy aims to position the UAE as a leading global hub for AI, advanced technologies, and next-generation government services.

The UAE has been at the forefront of efforts to champion safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence. In the past month, the government launched its first wave of AI agents to boost government services. These tools are being used in tax auditing, procurement, customer happiness, and technical support.

The UAE recently set out plans to deliver half of all government services through agentic AI within two years. The government plans to train 80,000 workers, from ministers to junior employees, in the use of AI agents to achieve this goal.

Engaging Younger Generations

Zayed will create new opportunities to engage younger generations. The platform will broaden the reach of the office’s communications through a modern and innovative approach.

Officials said the platform will deliver content in a more engaging and adaptable format. This aligns with the way modern audiences consume information.

Not the First AI Ambassador

This is not the first time UAE authorities have turned to an AI ambassador. In July 2025, Dubai introduced its first AI-driven virtual Emirati family to promote its digital strategy. The interactive cast of characters is used by Digital Dubai to promote the integration of online services and advanced technology in everyday life.

These initiatives highlight how AI technology is being integrated into daily life in the UAE.

Driving Innovation Across Sectors

The launch comes as the UAE accelerates investment in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. These investments span government, education, research, and industry.

Officials highlighted that initiatives such as Zayed reinforce the country’s commitment to innovation. The platform supports the UAE’s ambition to lead globally in AI adoption.

Zayed will play a key role in delivering impactful communication while enhancing transparency, accessibility, and engagement in public sector messaging.
