In a move reflecting the rapid globalisation of AI-powered marketing, MeclabsAI, the pioneering AI marketing studio headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, has appointed Azad Abdullahi, a Nigerian creative technologist, as Product Lead, with his base strategically positioned in Dubai, the Middle East’s emerging hub for innovation.

MeclabsAI’s evolution is built on a powerful foundation. Flint McGlaughlin, a globally respected marketing strategist and founder of the Meclabs Institute, has spent decades perfecting a scientific approach to customer behaviour. Since 1999, through MarketingExperiments and MarketingSherpa, Meclabs Institute has led the global marketing community, conducting over 10,000 experiments and creating a patented methodology for driving online conversion and engagement.

MeclabsAI itself emerged from the strategic merger of Meclabs Institute and Convrrt, the innovative SaaS platform founded in 2016 by Kavin Patel and Dhruv Patel. Their fusion created a platform that blends rigorous behavioural science with cutting-edge product innovation, now amplified through AI.

Today, MeclabsAI is setting its sights firmly on serving a global market, leveraging cross-continental expertise and world-class talent to shape the future of marketing technology. The appointment of Abdullahi, with his rich international experience and Dubai base, is central to this ambitious expansion.

Azad Abdullahi: A Cross-Continental Talent Powering Innovation

A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Management, Abdullahi’s professional journey is a testament to creative leadership and strategic innovation. Early in his career, he captured the industry’s attention by winning the prestigious Cannes Young Lions award, signalling his emergence as one of the world’s brightest young creative talents.

Since then, he has built an expansive portfolio across the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and West Africa, leading brand transformation projects for some of the world’s biggest companies, including Pepsi, Guinness, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Budweiser, and Tecno. His work spans graphic design, digital marketing, UI/UX for web and mobile platforms, product leadership, and increasingly, AI-powered customer experience strategy.

Notably, Abdullahi was a key member of the Convrrt team before its merger with Meclabs Institute. As Lead UI Designer, he championed product redesigns and feature innovations that helped scale the platform’s impact among SaaS providers globally.

Since the formation of MeclabsAI, Abdullahi has continued to excel across roles spanning product strategy, UX leadership, AI integration, and customer experience design, culminating in his promotion to Product Lead.

Now operating from Dubai, Abdullahi is perfectly positioned at the crossroads of the Middle East, Africa, and global tech markets — an embodiment of MeclabsAI’s international vision.

Building the Future: Inside MeclabsAI’s Cross-Functional Powerhouse

At MeclabsAI, Abdullahi collaborates closely with a world-class team of developers, UI/UX specialists, quality assurance engineers, AI researchers, and marketing strategists. Together, they are focused on building intuitive, scalable, and conversion-optimised AI marketing products that respond to the needs of a globalised business landscape.

Reflecting on his appointment, Azad Abdullahi shared:

At MeclabsAI, we believe AI is the next creative frontier. Being based in Dubai allows me to work closely with global innovation ecosystems while contributing to MeclabsAI’s mission to humanise and amplify marketing success at scale. It’s a privilege to be part of such a dynamic and visionary team.

In his new role, Abdullahi leads product design strategy, customer journey architecture, feature innovation, and UX optimisation — aligning closely with MeclabsAI’s broader vision under its founders and executive leadership.

A New Kind of Product Leadership

Abdullahi represents a new breed of leadership: globally fluent, technically sophisticated, creatively fearless.

His deep expertise with tools like Figma, Rive, ProtoPie, and advanced UX methodologies is complemented by a strategic grasp of marketing-driven product innovation. His leadership style, rooted in collaboration and measurable impact, is helping MeclabsAI scale its influence across borders.

As a Nigerian technologist shaping a global platform from Dubai, Abdullahi’s story is a powerful symbol of the cross-continental talent revolution transforming the future of technology and business.

MeclabsAI’s Global Play: Science, AI, and Human Centricity

With Flint McGlaughlin’s marketing science legacy, Dhruv and Kavin Patel’s SaaS innovation engine, and Azad Abdullahi’s dynamic leadership, MeclabsAI is uniquely positioned to redefine how businesses worldwide approach customer engagement.

As brands demand smarter, more ethical, and deeply human marketing solutions, MeclabsAI is delivering, powered by a team that understands how to blend rigour, creativity, and global agility into every product experience.

With leaders like Azad Abdullahi helping drive its vision forward, MeclabsAI isn’t just building better marketing tools.
It’s building the future of marketing itself.
