Invest-IT Egypt startup programme launch

Fifteen tech startups from across Egypt have introduced their latest innovations as part of the newly launched Invest-IT programme. Spearheaded by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), under the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the initiative is designed to make local startups better prepared for investment opportunities.

Invest-IT, developed in partnership with Flat6Labs, one of the MENA region’s top early-stage venture capital firms, focuses on startups in the seed and pre-Series A stages. The goal is to support entrepreneurs from across Egypt’s governorates by helping them raise capital, expand operations, and contribute to long-term economic development through innovation.

“The Invest-IT programme represents a pivotal milestone in our efforts to empower Egyptian startups during their most critical phase – investment readiness. At ITIDA, we are deeply committed to building a resilient and inclusive technology ecosystem that not only nurtures innovation but also equips startups to scale and compete on a global stage,” said Ahmed El-Zaher, CEO of ITIDA.

El-Zaher explained that ITIDA’s approach is comprehensive, nurturing innovation from universities through to the nationwide Digital Egypt Innovation Hubs (Creativa), and delivering vital digital skills. These efforts are complemented by partnerships with private sector players to secure funding for promising ventures.

Startups Featured in the Invest-IT Initiative

The first cohort includes a diverse group of 15 startups, divided by their stage of growth.

Startups in the seed stage include:

  • The White Guard, a cybersecurity platform
  • Dragify, offering AI-driven financial services
  • HNDL, specializing in fleet management
  • Turuq, a logistics solutions provider
  • Skoolix, an e-learning platform
  • KENNAH, a property technology (proptech) startup
  • Atoms AI, which uses AI to inspect semiconductors
  • PhotonSmart, a smart home device manufacturer

Meanwhile, the pre-Series A group features more mature startups:

  • Valify, an AI-powered digital identity verification platform
  • Mrkoon, a waste management service
  • Qubefyn, offering AI-driven data intelligence tools
  • Venu, a venue booking and management platform
  • Amanleek, an insurtech startup
  • LyRise, an enterprise-focused AI solutions provider

The launch of the Invest-IT programme marks a significant investment in Egypt’s growing tech ecosystem, aiming to prepare startups for the realities of scaling their businesses and attracting investors.
