Tally Solutions Gains Full UAE Accreditation for E-Invoicing Compliance

Tally Solutions has been officially listed as a fully Accredited Service Provider by the UAE Ministry of Finance, clearing the company to help businesses generate compliant electronic invoices as the country moves toward mandatory e-invoicing.

From Pre-Approval to Full Accreditation

The accreditation marks the completion of a process that began earlier in the year. Tally first secured Peppol certification in January, positioning it to act as both a sending and receiving access point for electronic invoices under the international network the UAE has adopted as its e-invoicing standard. By May, the company had been added to the Ministry of Finance’s list of pre-approved providers, joining roughly twenty other companies cleared ahead of the framework’s rollout. The latest announcement confirms Tally has now moved from pre-approved to fully accredited status, allowing it to generate compliant e-invoices directly through its TallyPrime software in line with the ministry’s requirements.

What Full Accreditation Changes for Businesses

As a fully Accredited Service Provider, Tally can now connect businesses directly to the Ministry of Finance’s e-invoicing system rather than simply preparing them for a future connection. Companies using the latest release of TallyPrime with an active Tally Software Services subscription can access this capability without additional cost for e-invoice generation, since Tally is absorbing that expense itself. This removes what has often been a practical barrier for smaller firms weighing whether to adopt e-invoicing tools ahead of a hard deadline.

Why the Timing Matters

The UAE’s e-invoicing framework is being rolled out in phases. Voluntary compliance is expected to begin around mid-2026, with mandatory compliance following roughly six months later. That timeline gives VAT-registered businesses a narrowing window to select and integrate an accredited provider before the requirement becomes compulsory. Choosing a provider is not a formality: once mandatory compliance begins, invoices issued without an FTA-approved intermediary risk being treated as non-compliant, which can affect a buyer’s ability to recover input VAT.

Positioning in a Crowded Field

Tally’s pitch to the market rests partly on experience. The company has previously guided businesses through India’s GST and e-invoicing rollout, supported Saudi Arabia’s ZATCA-mandated e-invoicing transition, and helped UAE firms adapt to VAT and Corporate Tax requirements. That track record, combined with a large existing SME customer base in the region, gives Tally a head start against competitors also working to secure accreditation ahead of the mandate.

For UAE businesses still evaluating their options, the practical takeaway is straightforward. Full accreditation means Tally can now handle the actual mechanics of compliant invoice exchange, not just prepare a system for it, at a moment when the countdown to mandatory adoption has already begun.
