Madeed Raises $925K to Bring Personalised Preventive Healthcare to Saudi Arabia

Dr. Adam Bataineh (Madeed founder)

Dr. Adam Bataineh returned to Saudi Arabia after a successful exit in the United States. In 2025, he launched Madeed. Now the healthtech startup has secured additional pre-seed funding that brings its total raise to $925,000.

From Physician to Founder

Bataineh trained as a physician with experience in internal medicine, genomics, and oncology. He previously co-founded Span Health, a data-driven health coaching platform. In March 2022, Span Health was acquired by Eight Sleep, the smart mattress and sleep fitness company. He joined the Eight Sleep product team after the deal.

Back in Saudi Arabia, Bataineh saw an opportunity. Healthcare in the region often focused on treating illness after it appeared. He wanted to change that. Madeed aims to help people stay healthy longer by catching risks early.

How the Platform Works

Madeed uses advanced lab testing and biomarker analysis. The platform applies AI to spot early signs of disease before symptoms show up. It then creates personalised health plans that include lifestyle recommendations and custom nutritional supplement packs.

The company calls it the first platform of its kind in the Middle East built purely around prevention and longevity. Users complete detailed testing. The system processes the data and delivers clear, actionable insights tailored to each person.

The Fresh Funding and Early Traction

The latest capital came from SEEDRA Ventures, Unity Investment Partners, and Seen Growth. They joined earlier backers Vision Ventures and Saudi angel investors. The money will support product development and new clinical and laboratory partnerships across the Kingdom.

Madeed has already completed operational testing. The pilot phase attracted 150 subscribers. This early response encouraged the team.

Bataineh said: “We are proud of the partnerships we are building with a select group of organisations and companies, reflecting a high level of awareness regarding the importance of preventative healthcare and a commitment to improving the health and quality of life of individuals in our communities.”

He added that the pilot results show clear demand ahead of the official launch.

Why This Matters in Saudi Arabia

Chronic diseases are rising across the region. At the same time, interest in proactive health and longevity is growing, especially among younger professionals. Madeed’s approach fits neatly with Saudi Vision 2030 goals around digital health and preventive care.

For everyday users, it means moving away from one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, they get plans built on their own data. The goal is a longer healthspan, not just a longer lifespan.

Madeed is still early. The next months will show whether the platform can scale while keeping results accurate and accessible. For now, the founder who once helped optimise sleep and performance at Eight Sleep is applying the same data-first mindset to prevention in his home market.
