Ooredoo Qatar Partners With Samsung to Enhance Customer Digital Experience

Ooredoo Qatar and Samsung

Ooredoo Qatar and Samsung Gulf Electronics have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at improving how customers in Qatar access the latest Samsung devices. The agreement will see the two companies expand the distribution of Samsung products through Ooredoo’s retail network and various sales channels across the country.

Details of the Agreement

The partnership brings together Ooredoo’s expertise in telecommunications and information technology with Samsung’s position in mobile devices and consumer electronics. Both companies said the collaboration reflects their shared commitment to delivering digital solutions that match customers’ evolving needs, with an emphasis on making the latest Galaxy devices and services more widely accessible across the local market.

Mustafa Peracha, Chief Consumer Officer of Ooredoo Qatar, said the company has long been committed to bringing the best of global technology to Qatar, and that the partnership builds on that goal. Jerome Hong, President of Samsung Gulf Electronics, described Qatar as one of the most digitally advanced markets in the region, noting that the collaboration puts Samsung’s latest devices directly into the hands of more people through a retail and service network that customers already trust.

Strengthening an Existing Relationship

This is not the first time Ooredoo and Samsung have worked together. The two companies, along with satellite internet provider Starlink, signed a tripartite agreement in 2023 to build a one-stop shop for Samsung’s full range of consumer and business devices in Qatar. That earlier deal also focused on improving customer service through more regular training for sales representatives and expanding Samsung’s visibility across Ooredoo stores.

The new partnership appears to extend and deepen that relationship, with both companies again emphasising faster access to new devices and stronger customer support as central goals.

Positioning Within Qatar’s Digital Market

Qatar remains one of the more digitally mature markets in the Gulf region, with strong mobile penetration and a population that has shown consistent appetite for the latest smart devices. Ooredoo has held a leading position in the country’s telecommunications sector for years, while Samsung devices have remained among the most sought-after smartphones for Ooredoo’s customer base.

By formalising this expanded partnership, the two companies are positioning themselves to capture continued demand for premium devices while reinforcing customer loyalty through better distribution, service, and support. For Ooredoo, the deal also reinforces its broader strategy of pairing network leadership with strong device partnerships, a pattern the company has followed in past collaborations with other global technology brands.
