Jason Njoku Launches Fluidity, Where Africa and the Gulf Forge a New Business Era

Serial entrepreneur and investor Jason Njoku, founder of Spark, the Njoku Forum, iROKOtv, one of Africa’s biggest digital content platforms, and the co-founder of ROK (which was sold to Canal+ for $25M), has announced his flagship summit, Fluidity. This new platform brings together powerful voices and fresh capital from across Africa and the Gulf, setting the stage for a new era of cross-border collaboration.

He’s spent his career navigating the kind of challenges and opportunities Fluidity is designed to address. He’s raised over $41M from international investors, including Tiger Global, Kinnevik, Rise, Canal+, and Vivendi.

Jason, who recently spoke to us as part of “Investing in the Middle East and Africa as a Beginner”, described how he’s mostly been investing time in his family lately. But it seems the builder, ecosystem developer, and investor in him is still very much alive. With Fluidity, that calling now takes shape on a much larger stage.

Fluidity 2025: Dates, Location, Who’s Coming, What to Expect

On April 7–8, 2025, Fluidity 2025 will unite some of the most influential leaders in business, technology, and policy from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Sub-Saharan Africa. Hosted at Al Habtoor City in Dubai, this two-day event promises real conversations, powerful networking, and high-level dealmaking. The focus will be on how innovation, capital, and partnerships can flow seamlessly across borders to drive growth in both regions.

Startup founders, investors, regulators, and top figures in tech and finance will come together to discuss business development, investment opportunities, regional expansion, and cross-border collaboration, all aimed at building ventures and strengthening the ecosystem between these two dynamic regions.

Speakers at Fluidity include some of the sharpest voices shaping the future of innovation. Names like Ebele Okeke of Altica Partners, Mariam Kamel of LoftyInc Capital, Walid Mansour, co-founder of the first VC in MENA, Alisha Golden of Aftra Partners, Ryaan Sharif of Flat6Labs, Philip Bahoshy from MAGNiTT, Olugbenga Agboola of Flutterwave, Dele Akinsade of Microsoft, Ian Dillon of Moniepoint,  amongst others.

Fluidity 2025 is also bringing in over 50 investors, 20 startup founders, and representatives from more than 20 government ministries across Africa and the GCC. The goal is to unlock the full potential of trade and investment across borders, creating real outcomes like job creation, capital flow, and startup growth.

Attendees can expect 1-on-1 meetings, networking sessions, and workshops aimed at matching startups with investors, and decision-makers with new markets. Past Njoku events have drawn major players like Meta, Google, Netflix, AWS, Microsoft, TikTok, and Mastercard. Companies like MTN, Stripe, DP World, ADNOC, Techstars, Paystack, IFC, and Showmax have all been part of this growing ecosystem.

Spotlight on Day 1: VC Trends, Startup Support & Regional Expansion

Day one will open with remarks from Njoku, followed by discussions on venture capital trends in Africa and the GCC, insights from MAGNiTT, and sessions on compliance, governance, and cross-regional expansion. A look into how both regions are competing in tech on a global scale,  and talks on early-stage deals and startup support in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Spotlight on Day 2: IPOs, Fintech, AI, and the Future of Open Banking

On day two, Fluidity 2025 kicks off again, followed by sessions on exits and IPOs in Africa, a keynote from RedSeer, and conversations around building unicorns. The afternoon will explore open banking, scaling fintech in emerging markets, and the future of AI and cloud infrastructure. Fireside chats with leaders from FairMoney and others will round out a packed program.

Fluidity 2025 is a ticketed event, and seats are expected to fill quickly. With the kind of people attending and the kind of ideas that will be in the room, it’s no surprise. This conference is a chance to shape what economic collaboration looks like between the GCC and Africa for years to come.

Tickets are available now. See more and secure yours here.
