Saudi Arabia Achieves 93% of Vision 2030 Goals as It Moves Into 2026

Saudi Arabia enters 2026 having completed or advanced 93 percent of its Vision 2030 goals. According to the 2024 annual report, 674 of 1,502 initiatives launched since 2016 have been completed, with another 596 progressing as planned. The milestone highlights steady advancement across economic, social, and cultural objectives.

Real Changes in Daily Life and the Economy

The Kingdom’s progress is tangible. Female labour-force participation now stands at 33.5 percent, exceeding initial targets. Home ownership has risen to 65.4 percent, while tourism has surpassed projected visitor numbers. International companies continue to establish regional headquarters, and global rankings in digital governance have improved significantly. Cultural recognition and infrastructure development further reflect broad societal transformation.

The Remaining Challenge

While 93 per cent completion is significant, the final 7 per cent involves complex areas: environmental sustainability, boosting non-oil exports, improving urban livability, and inclusive social development. Saudi Arabia’s ability to tackle these challenges will ultimately determine the success of Vision 2030.

Lessons Beyond the Kingdom

Saudi Arabia’s progress offers valuable insights for other economies seeking to diversify. Effective long-term planning, data-driven governance, and strategic execution have driven real change. The milestone also strengthens the Kingdom’s global positioning, showing it can transform from an oil-dependent state into a modern, diversified economy.

Keeping Momentum Into 2026

The year ahead will focus on sustaining reforms and ensuring benefits reach all citizens. Leadership, adaptive policies, and continued investment will be critical to completing Vision 2030. With 93 per cent of goals already on track, Saudi Arabia is poised to finish its transformative agenda while setting a regional benchmark for national development.
