Amazon Enters UAE Payments Market with New Credit Card

Amazon, in partnership with Emirates Islamic and Mastercard, has launched its first co-branded credit card in the United Arab Emirates: the Amazon Emirates Islamic Mastercard Credit Card. This marks the debut of an Amazon-branded credit card in the region.

  • No Annual Fee: The card is offered free for life, with no membership or annual fees charged to cardholders.

  • Rewards Structure:
      • Up to 6 % back on purchases made on Amazon.ae
      • Up to 2.5 % back on everyday spending outside Amazon
      • Rewards are credited instantly and can be redeemed as discounts on future Amazon purchases

  • Digital-first Experience: The application process is fully digital, and users will manage the card via digital tools and apps.

  • Security & Technology: Built-in security features include Mastercard’s tokenisation to protect sensitive payment data.

  • Additional Perks & Lifestyle Benefits:
      • 0 % instalment plans for purchases made on Amazon.ae and selected partner merchants
      • Card variants (World, Platinum) offering perks like airport lounge access, concierge services, discounts on flights or hotels, valet parking, and other lifestyle privileges
      • A welcome bonus to new cardholders
