Engagesoft has secured $3.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by Silicon Badia, with participation from several regional investors. The Saudi-based startup plans to use the capital to deepen its AI product capabilities and expand its footprint across the MENA region.

A Clear Path to Product Expansion

The funding will accelerate Engagesoft’s AI roadmap, allowing the company to offer richer insights into employee engagement, leadership effectiveness, and organisational culture. The company has already processed more than 10 million employee responses and aims to scale these capabilities further.

It also plans to use the investment to strengthen its presence in key markets beyond Saudi Arabia, building on its current customer base in Egypt, Jordan, and five other MENA countries.

A Rapidly Scaling Workforce Platform

Founded in 2021 by Omar and Tareq Tahboub, Engagesoft has quickly gained traction in the region’s enterprise sector. The company has tripled its customer base and achieved a tenfold increase in recurring revenue in just 18 months.

Its platform serves several large clients, including Zamil Industrial, Edita Food Industries, Nadec, Takaful Rajhi, Jamjoom, Binzagr, Juhayna, Tamimi Markets, and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property.

Shifting Dynamics in HR Tech

The funding reflects a growing appetite for AI-driven employee engagement platforms in MENA. As organisations face increasing pressure to build more connected, resilient, and productive teams, solutions like Engagesoft are becoming strategic investments rather than optional tools.

By embedding cultural and regional intelligence into its product, Engagesoft is positioning itself as a challenger to global HR SaaS players. The company now faces a critical phase: scaling beyond its home market while preserving the local context that has driven its success.
