Replit Raises $250M Series C at $3B Valuation and Launches Agent 3

Replit has raised $250 million in Series C funding at a $3 billion valuation, led by Prysm Capital with participation from Google, American Express Ventures, and existing investors Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, and Paul Graham.

Accelerating a Decade-Long Vision

Founder and CEO Amjad Masad called the funding a validation of Replit’s mission to enable anyone to build software without knowing how to code.

“Autonomy for all has always been our vision. We believe everyone should have the tools to bring ideas to life without limits and without knowing how to code,” Masad said. “This funding allows us to move faster, go deeper into autonomy, and put our tools into the hands of more people worldwide.”

Over the past decade, Replit has grown into a platform used by solo builders, educators, and companies such as Zillow and Duolingo to accelerate their software development.

Introducing Agent 3

Alongside the funding news, Replit launched Agent 3, its most advanced autonomous coding agent yet. Designed to make software creation faster and more intuitive, Agent 3 represents a step towards human-centred, autonomous product development.

Masad framed the launch as a leap forward:

“This is about enabling anyone, anywhere, to build ambitious things more autonomously. We’re just getting started.”

Scaling Up

With a team of only about 100 employees, Replit intends to use the new capital to:

  • Advance research on autonomous coding agents
  • Scale operations and infrastructure to support a growing user base
  • Expand globally to bring Replit to more innovators

Call to Builders

Masad closed his announcement by inviting technologists to join the company:

“If you want to have an outsized impact on the future of software, now’s the time to join.”
