ROC Motors launches in Abu Dhabi

ROX Motor, the luxury new-energy vehicle maker, has chosen Abu Dhabi for its regional headquarters. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office backs the move and marks a major step in the emirate’s push to attract global mobility innovators.

A Strategic Entry Point Into the Gulf

ROX Motor selected Abu Dhabi as its base to manage sales, after-sales support and market expansion across the Gulf. The timing aligns with rising demand for premium electric vehicles and the region’s shift toward smart mobility.
The announcement was made during a major mobility event in the capital, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s growing role in the future of transport.

Local Manufacturing Through a Key Partnership

A significant part of ROX’s strategy is its partnership with W Motors, a UAE manufacturer known for high-performance vehicles.
The two companies will assemble ROX’s flagship model, the ROX 01, in Abu Dhabi.
This is the first time ROX will produce outside its home market. It supports the UAE’s industrial development strategy and strengthens local supply chains for advanced automotive manufacturing.

Building Innovation Capacity in Abu Dhabi

ROX Motor plans to deepen research and development activities from its new headquarters.
The company is working on advanced smart cockpit systems tailored to Arabic-speaking users. It is also developing autonomous driving technologies to match the region’s growing investment in AI infrastructure.
These efforts signal a long-term commitment to making Abu Dhabi a centre for mobility innovation rather than just a sales hub.

Economic Impact for the Emirate

The new headquarters will create high-value jobs in engineering, software, manufacturing and support services.
It will also encourage talent development and transfer technical know-how into the local mobility ecosystem.
For Abu Dhabi, this strengthens its plan to diversify its economy and expand into advanced industries.

A Long-Term Bet on the Region’s EV Future

ROX Motor’s expansion positions the company to serve the Gulf’s growing luxury EV market from within the region.
With local manufacturing, R&D and strong government backing, ROX is setting itself up as a regional player.
For Abu Dhabi, this move reinforces the emirate’s ambition to become a global hub for smart and sustainable mobility.

A Clear Signal of Abu Dhabi’s Mobility Ambitions

The establishment of ROX Motor’s regional headquarters shows how seriously Abu Dhabi is investing in the next generation of transport.
It brings together manufacturing, research and market growth under one roof.
And it positions both ROX Motor and the emirate for long-term advantage in the global shift toward electrification.
