Dubai’s IntelliDent AI Partners with Woxsen University for Healthcare Innovation

A Dubai-based dental technology company has joined forces with an Indian university to advance artificial intelligence research in healthcare. IntelliDent AI signed a five-year partnership agreement with Woxsen University’s AI Research Centre in Hyderabad.

The collaboration brings together Dubai’s growing health technology sector with India’s expanding artificial intelligence research capabilities. Both organizations will work on joint projects, research initiatives, and technology commercialization in the healthcare field.

Partnership Details

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Dr. Raul V. Rodriguez, Vice President of Woxsen University, and Affaan Shaikh, Founder and CEO of IntelliDent AI. Dr. Hemachandran K, Director of the AI Research Centre, and Khalid Shaikh, Advisor to IntelliDent AI, oversaw the partnership formalization.

The agreement covers several key areas:

Real-World Projects: Students from Woxsen’s AI Research Centre will work on live healthcare projects provided by IntelliDent. This gives students hands-on experience with actual industry challenges and AI-driven solutions.

Joint Research: Both institutions will collaborate on research grants, white papers, product prototypes, and academic publications. The research will focus on medical technology advancement and innovation.

Product Development: The partnership will guide products from initial ideas to market-ready solutions. This includes support for building startups and commercializing AI health technology.

Knowledge Sharing: Faculty members and industry professionals will exchange expertise and best practices. This creates opportunities for continuous learning and innovation between academic and industry sectors.

Leadership Programs: The partnership will host awareness programs, leadership training, and innovation challenges. These initiatives will promote ethical AI use and responsible leadership in emerging markets 

About IntelliDent AI

IntelliDent AI specializes in artificial intelligence solutions for dentistry. The company develops technology that helps dental professionals and laboratories create better patient outcomes through advanced AI tools.

The Dubai-based company focuses on 3D artificial intelligence trained by experienced dental technicians. Their technology aims to make advanced dental solutions more accessible to dentists and laboratories worldwide.

Affaan Shaikh, the company’s founder and CEO, holds a UAE Golden Visa and works as an AI engineer and researcher. He is also a neuroscientist and author who has written about artificial intelligence applications in dentistry.

About Woxsen University

Woxsen University is a private institution located in Hyderabad, Telangana. The university operates on a 200-acre campus and focuses on business, technology, and innovation education.

The university’s AI Research Centre leads artificial intelligence research and development initiatives. The center works on various AI applications and maintains partnerships with industry organizations to bridge academic research with real-world applications.

Woxsen University has established partnerships with several international organizations, including IBM India, Austrade, and Nova Business School Africa. These collaborations help integrate industry-relevant training into academic programs.

The dental AI market is experiencing rapid growth as healthcare providers seek more efficient and accurate diagnostic and treatment tools. Companies like IntelliDent AI are developing solutions that can improve patient care while reducing costs for dental practices.

Future Plans

The five-year partnership will focus on developing AI solutions that can be commercialized and brought to market. Both organizations expect the collaboration to produce research publications, product prototypes, and potentially new startup companies.

The partnership also aims to create a pipeline of AI professionals who understand both technical capabilities and business applications. This addresses the growing demand for skilled AI professionals in the healthcare sector.

Affaan Shaikh commented on the partnership:
