Dubai plans to capture a major slice of the Middle East’s sports technology market with the launch of LEVEL UP, a three-day innovation expo that could attract over 10,000 global participants this November.
The emirate announced the sports tech showcase will run from November 27-29, 2025, at Dubai Harbour. Global MICE Organisation Limited (GMOLx) partnered with Dubai Sports Council to create what organizers call the world’s leading platform for tech-driven sports transformation.
Dubai Sports Tech Market Shows Explosive Growth Potential
The Middle East and Africa sports tech sector will reach $3.3 billion by 2030, according to market research. Dubai’s sports industry already contributes $2.5 billion annually to the emirate’s economy through ambitious national strategies and a vibrant startup ecosystem.
While the worldwide sports industry expects 3.3% growth by 2026, the Middle East projects 8.7% expansion over the same period.
AI Analytics and Performance Wearables Take Center Stage
LEVEL UP will showcase transformative technologies reshaping both traditional and emerging sports. Attendees can explore performance-enhancing wearables, AI-driven analytics, immersive fan engagement tools, and stadium security innovations.
The expo covers established sports including football, Formula 1, cricket, tennis, golf, and athletics. Emerging categories like esports, extreme sports, swimming, and horse racing will also feature breakthrough developments.
Interactive demonstrations will highlight training and rehabilitation solutions, gaming applications, and media broadcasting advances that are changing how sports are played, experienced, and managed.

Celebrity Athletes and Global Startups Converge in Dubai
The three-day event brings together celebrity athletes, sports federations, brands, startups, investors, and media professionals. Strategic panel discussions, keynote speeches, live demos, and brand activations fill the program.
Community engagement extends beyond business networking. LEVEL UP hosts sports competitions and tournaments in padel, street football, and basketball for corporate leaders and local residents.
A prestigious awards ceremony will recognize influential sports tech startups and industry leaders driving global changes in sports performance and fan experiences.
Dubai Positions Itself as Global Sports Innovation Hub
Eisa Sharif, director of Sport Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, emphasized the strategic importance: “Dubai is committed to hosting world-class sporting events with innovation at the core. LEVEL UP will provide an international platform that fosters collaboration and connects the full spectrum of the sports tech community.”
The initiative reinforces Dubai’s position as an international sports and entertainment hub. The emirate serves as a strategic gateway for global players entering the GCC’s expanding sports economy.
Technology Integration Drives Sports Industry Transformation
Namir Hourani, Managing Director of GMOLx, highlighted the event’s broad appeal: “LEVEL UP engages everyone – from curious young minds and sports enthusiasts to corporate leaders and global innovators. We’re committed to delivering world-class global events that are impactful, unique, and unforgettable.”
The expo addresses critical industry discussions around innovation adoption, infrastructure development, and performance optimization. International and local organizations can showcase groundbreaking innovations and forge connections with key decision-makers across the global sports ecosystem.
Dubai’s investment in sports technology reflects broader government initiatives. The UAE Ministry of Sports recently launched a Digital Transformation and Sports Innovation Platform, while the Ministry of Economy introduced the ‘IP Sport’ initiative to enhance intellectual property protection in the national sports sector.
LEVEL UP positions Dubai at the forefront of sports technology innovation, offering participants access to high-growth regional markets while connecting them to talent, capital, and opportunities across the sports tech value chain.
