The CES 2025 event in Las Vegas showcased an impressive lineup of AI-powered devices, wearables, and futuristic home gadgets, leaving attendees marveling at the next wave of consumer technology. From smart mirrors and snore-blocking earbuds to waterproof TVs, these innovations are shaping up to be practical, transformative tools for everyday life.

Omnia: The AI Smart Mirror with Star Trek Vibes

Among the standout devices was Omnia, an AI-powered smart mirror from French firm Withings. This prototype wowed attendees with its ability to perform 360-degree scans of the human body and provide detailed health metrics, such as heart health and vitamin analysis.

Though still in the conceptual phase, Withings has big ambitions for Omnia. According to spokesperson Thi Nguyen, the mirror could eventually serve as a telehealth platform, connecting users to doctors when needed. Addressing privacy concerns, Nguyen reassured users, stating, “We are not selling any data.”

Wearables: Ozlo’s Snore-Blocking Sleepbuds

In the wearables category, Ozlo’s Sleepbuds grabbed attention. These Bluetooth-enabled earbuds, designed by ex-Bose engineers, promise to help users fall asleep faster by masking disruptive noises like snoring or sirens.

One attendee joked, “These are a marriage-saver,” highlighting the practical value of these AI-powered earbuds.

Sylvox’s Waterproof TV: Cinema Pro Outdoor

One of the more eye-catching exhibits came from Sylvox, a China-based TV manufacturer. Their Cinema Pro Outdoor TV demonstrated its resilience by withstanding constant streams of water from a nearby fountain.

This 110-inch screen is not only 100% waterproof and weatherproof but also able to function in temperatures ranging from -22°F to 122°F, making it ideal for outdoor entertainment regardless of climate.

AI for Plant Care: LeafyPod

For plant lovers, startup LeafyPod revealed an AI-powered planter that removes the guesswork from plant care. The device automatically waters plants and monitors light levels, humidity, and other metrics to ensure optimal growth.

Co-founder Cleo Song emphasized its convenience, saying the planter is designed to make “plant care stress-free and deeply satisfying.” The product is now available for preorder and will ship this spring.

AquaSense 2: The Future of Pool Cleaning

Another innovation turning heads was Beatbot’s AquaSense 2, a next-gen robotic pool cleaning system. This AI-driven gadget maps pools, identifies debris, and avoids obstacles. Starting at $1,500, the AquaSense 2 offers three models and will ship in February.

Enhancing Travel and Kitchen Experiences

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) previewed a smart shoe scanner prototype that could eliminate the hassle of removing footwear at airport security. This device, powered by AI, automatically scans for hidden objects and integrates with existing checkpoints, aiming to streamline the travel process.

In the kitchen tech arena, LG debuted its Signature Smart Instaview Microwave, a social media-friendly device with a 27-inch touchscreen, built-in cameras, and automated cooking sensors. With features like live cooking videos and entertainment options, the microwave caters to the tech-savvy and home cooks alike.

AI in Smart Homes

Tech giants like Amazon and Samsung showcased their visions for AI-powered homes. Samsung, in particular, unveiled a Home AI roadmap that connects household devices capable of recognizing individual voices and anticipating residents’ needs.

These innovations highlight the ongoing integration of AI into daily life, with companies pushing the boundaries of convenience, personalization, and automation.

To Wrap Up

CES 2025 proved that AI-powered devices are more than just flashy concepts. These innovations are making life simpler, smarter, and more connected. The future of technology isn’t just about what’s possible, it’s about what’s practical, and this year’s CES left no doubt that AI is leading the charge.
